Things will cool off again tonight into the single digits with northern most locations dropping below zero. We will have mostly clear skies with the high pressure system to our south and west keeping it clear. The high moves closer to the state tomorrow which will leave us with mostly clear skies. We’ll see high temperatures making it into the upper teens and low to mid 20s. It will be breezy tomorrow though with winds out of the northwest at 5-15 mph. Wind chills will fall below zero in some of the usually colder spots (north and mountains). We’ll drop into the negative and positive single digits overnight into Friday.
Temps warm to more seasonable levels Friday with highs in the 20s and low 30s with a southwest wind bringing in slightly warmer air. It’ll start out mostly sunny, but as the high pressure system exits the region, we’ll see increasing clouds as we head into the afternoon and evening. Saturday’s highs will warm into the 40s as a warm front lifts into the area. It will stay mostly cloudy through the morning then we’ll start to see rain develop in the afternoon. Through the overnight hours into Sunday it is possible we could see a bit of mixed precipitation. We will see the precip continue overnight, it could be heavy at times, especially into the early morning hours on Sunday. Highs Sunday stay in the 40s with the rain wrapping up in the afternoon. It looks like the total rainfall will be between an inch and an inch and a half which will be enough to really take out snow piles. I’m thinking there won’t be quite as much flooding since many drains became unclogged with this last storm, but there is always a chance for more.
By Monday, we’ll be dry with highs still well above normal, in the upper 30s and low 40s with partial sunshine.
