A man police believe may have robbed a bank in Bangor Saturday remains in jail, accused of running from police.

37-year-old Earl Gary of Corinth was arrested Sunday in the woods in Hudson.

Court documents say police went to his father’s house in Corinth to question him about the robbery at the TD Bank on Stillwater Avenue.

But they sat Gary drove off and lead police on a high-speed chase.

They say Gary crashed his truck in a snowbank in Hudson, then headed into the woods where police eventually caught up with him.

Gary appeared in court Monday on charges of eluding an officer, refusing to submit to arrest and driving to endanger.

He has not been charged with robbery but police say they’re still investigating the case.

We’re told a man with a similar description to Gary’s walked into the bank Saturday afternoon and passed a note to a teller demanding money.

The suspect walked out with an undisclosed amount of cash, then took off running behind an area restaurant.
