Bangor Hydro says crews struggled today to make any major progress on power restoration…. they still have more than 3,000 without power tonight…

With another storm on the way, crews are working feverishly to restore power.

Bangor Hydro expects to have Washington County customers back on by the end of today…

Penobscot County customers by the end of tomorrow…

And Hancock County still won’t be fully restored until next week…

“In some cases, it may be a circuit that’s serving a thousand, or two thousand people, but actually getting down to circuits that are serving very small numbers and in some cases one or two customers and those take as long to repair as a thousand or two thousand, so when you’re taking four or five hours, or even more to repair a circuit, to get a couple customers on, that’s what’s taking so long,” said Bangor Hydro Spokeswoman, Susan Faloon.

Bangor Hydro says you should never cut or trim the trees that may be on a power line, there is no way to tell if a line is active or not.
