After some bus travelers were left in the cold Christmas Day in Bangor, one passenger was arrested for burglary.

Dale Quereux, 42, of Plainville, Connecticut is charged with a handful of charges including theft.

Wednesday, Bangor police responded to Concord Trailways Bus Station on Union Street around 11AM for a report of several passengers stranded.

They say the bus driver dropped everyone off and left only to find the door to the business locked.

Upon arrival, police say several people were in and outside the bus station and that when an officer went inside he noticed the back door had been broken into.

After watching surveillance video, they say Quereux broke in through the back door and removed a hammer before anyone was let into the building.

Police say he also used the hammer to break a car window.

Quereaux remains at Penobscot County Jail.
