From the TV 5 Forecast Center:

The storm that brought us all the snow on Sunday will continue to move away from the area today. Drier and brighter conditions can be expected across the state for today. Upper level energy moving through the state may give northern areas a few snow showers but otherwise the day looks mainly dry. Skies will average partly to mostly sunny and temperatures will be cold with highs only in the teens to around 20° for most locales. Winds will be gusty so wind chills will be a factor today with west/northwest winds gusting to 20-25 MPH which will make it feel like its between -10° to +5° at times. Skies will be clear tonight and with winds lightening up a bit, plan on a very cold night with lows between -15° north to around -3° along the coast. Even with a light wind, wind chills could be as low as -35° at times.

Tuesday will start out with some morning sunshine followed by increasing clouds as low pressure approaches from the south. Low pressure is forecast to move through the Gulf of Maine later Tuesday night into Wednesday morning bringing us a round of light to moderate snowfall. It looks like the best chance for steady snow will be for areas south of Greenville and Millinocket  with the heaviest snowfall occurring from Bangor south to the coast. Snowfall accumulations from Tuesday night through Wednesday morning will range from less than 1” over northern Aroostook county, 1”-3” along and south of a line from Houlton to Jackman, then 3”-6” is expected from Bangor south to the coast. The snow will wind down from west to east during the morning hours Wednesday, giving way to brightening skies Wednesday afternoon. Thursday will be dry with some morning clouds followed by afternoon sunshine. Another storm will head our way on Friday and could bring snow to northern areas with mix and possibly rain elsewhere.

Rest of Today: partly to mostly sunny, most clouds north. A few snow showers possible up north. Highs between 13°-26°. West/northwest wind 10-15 MPH with gusts to 25 MPH possible. Wind chills will feel more like its between -10° to +5° at times.

Tonight: mostly clear and frigid. Lows between -15° to 0°. West/northwest wind 5-10 MPH. Wind chills will be as low as -35° at times. Wind chills could be as low as -35° at times.

Tuesday: increasing clouds. Snow showers possible during the afternoon especially south and west of Bangor. Steadier snow will move in during the night. Highs between 11°-22°. Winds will become east 5-10 MPH.

Wednesday: areas of light snow and snow showers tapering off during the morning then brightening skies during the afternoon. Highs between 17°-26°.

Thursday: mostly cloudy during the morning then brightening skies during the afternoon. Milder with highs in the 20s to around 30°.

Friday: snow north, mix and rain elsewhere. Highs in the 20s and 30s.
