Across the nation Saturday people laid wreaths on the graves of America’s fallen heroes.

Those wreaths came from Columbia Falls, the home of Worcester Wreath Co., founders of Wreaths Across America.

At the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta people placed wreaths on the grave and honored our nations soldiers in a special ceremony.

The ceremony took place all around the county precisely at 12:00pm.

Veterans in Augusta laid wreaths in honor of each branch of the military.

“Just honor all our vets that have been here before us and being able to put the wreaths out is an honor in itself and respecting them,” said George Draper, Army Veteran.

Saturday December 14th is officially known as “Wreaths Across American Day”.
