Bangor Festival of Lights Parade Winners Announced

Winners have been announced from this years Festival of Lights Parade that took place in downtown Bangor Saturday night.

The Pride of Madawaska Marching Band, made up of 35 members, took “Best Band” honors.

Citizens of Maine LLC won “Best Adult Entry” with their community support program float.

“Best Youth Entry” was Girl Scout Troops from Holbrook and Eddington as they were rocking around the Christmas tree.

With a float transformed into the island of Aruba, Lane Construction took “Best Commercial Entry.”

Maine Special Olympics won “Best Non-Profit Entry,” and Morita’s School of Dance danced their way into the “Best Performing Entry.”

The Rotary Club of Bangor hosts the parade.

This year, more than 80 groups participated.
