Women from a local church in Bangor are doing what they can to help out this Christmas. They shopped Saturday morning at Target for kids in need.

The women are withe The Rock Church. This is the 3rd year they have bought presents for children in the community. Shoppers said they break up into teams and try to fulfill every kid’s wish while also getting them the things they need.

The women bought everything from outerwear like boots, hats and gloves, to craft supplies, toys and clothing.

They have a budget of 35 dollars per kid, so they really hunt for bargains.

“We want to put a smile on as many children’s faces that we can in our community. We want to reach out to our community that’s the most important thing to us,” said Lisa Winters, one of the shoppers.

Next year the ladies plan to double the number of kids they shop for.
