CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — A man has been sentenced to 22 years in federal prison following his bank robbery conviction in New Hampshire.
Prosecutors say 27-year-old Derek Kucinski, formerly of Cape Neddick, Maine, entered a TD Bank in Newington in 2012 wearing a black ski mask, gloves. He was armed with a loaded .32-caliber revolver. He ordered several customers to the ground as he repeatedly pointed the gun at tellers and demanded money.
Kucinski fled with about $5,000. He was arrested following a brief car and foot chase.
At the time of his arrest, Kucinski was on supervised release after having served five years in federal prison for nine prior bank robberies committed in 2006.
