ALFRED, Maine (AP) — The Zumba instructor who ran a prostitution business in which she videotaped unsuspecting clients so her business partner could watch has been released from jail in Maine.
Alexis Wright left the York County Jail at about 7:45 a.m. Saturday after serving nearly six months of a 10-month sentence that was reduced because of good behavior and participation in a work program.
She got into a waiting SUV without commenting.
The prostitution scandal featuring sex videos, detailed ledgers, adultery and more than 100 clients in a picture-perfect New England town generated headlines around the world.
The 30-year-old Wright pleaded guilty to prostitution, as well as several welfare- and tax-related charges. Her married business partner was convicted of promoting prostitution.
