Running is always a good way to keep warm when it’s cold outside.
That’s exactly what some people in Brewer did on Sunday.
Organizers of the annual Turkey Trot say it’s been the windiest race they’ve ever had.
Despite the weather over 600 people pre-registered for the event.
This is the thirty-second year of the race.
Race Director Jodi Butilier said, “I don’t know where the idea originally came from, but it’s just worked. It’s always been the Sunday before Thanksgiving and people keep coming back.”
The Turkey Trot is a race for the sophomore class of Brewer High School.
The proceeds go to fund their graduation and other senior events.
