VASSALBORO, Maine (AP) — State police and the Kennebec Sheriff’s Office are investigating the death of a man whose body was found near the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro.
Spokesman Steve McCausland says Kennebec County deputies were called to the scene along Route 201 about 7 a.m. Friday.
They found the body of 69-year-old Thomas Namer, of Waterville, outside an abandoned mobile home. An autopsy was underway but no results were expected to be released Friday.
Vassalboro is about midway between Augusta and Waterville.
