With colder weather settling in, a homeless shelter in Bangor is hoping the community will help check off a winter wish list.
The Hope House is putting out the call for lots of items – some as simple as towels, sock and gloves.
Bruce Hews is a Campus Supervisor for the Hope House. He says all of the items will be given to people who stay at the shelter.
“They come in with nothing. We have 70 to 80 people a night. So our resources are tapped. We go through things really quickly when stuff does come in. So anything that anyone can give helps just one person have a better winter, a safer winter.”
Other things they’re looking for – personal care items, food and condiments.
You can drop off donations right at the shelter at 179 Indiana Avenue.
