Woman Allowed Supervised Release from Mental Hospital

Updated 1 year ago

A Bangor woman who killed her boyfriend, is allowed to leave the mental health facility she’s sentenced to, for a few hours a day.

Gail Judd pleaded not criminally responsible by reason of insanity.

She was ordered to Riverview Psychiatric Hospital indefinitely.

Last week, a judge ruled Judd can leave the facility for four hours a day, with supervision.

Judd stabbed Michael Drouin, 47, in February of last year.

Her lawyer argued a liver condition makes her delirious.

No this is not right. She should not have these privileges after killing a person. I cannot believe they are doing this. Very sad for the Druin family.
