It was a celebration of small business at a gathering Monday in Bangor.
The New England Regional Administrator for US Small Business Administration was at Eastern Maine Development Corporation.
He was there to promote the strength of small businesses in Maine, and to talk about how the SBA can help owners get started or expand.
“Many businesses, Maine entrepreneurs have great ideas but they need some help with marketing, they might need some help with getting a bigger customer base, or even getting that loan to expand into a new location,” said Seth Goodall, New England Regional Administrator, U.S. Small Business Association.
The SBA partners with banks and credit unions to help people land loans.
Administrator Goodall says money and education are two of the major things small business owners need.
