Two people from Massachusetts are facing charges after State Police say they stopped their car on the highway in Benton and found more than $11,000 worth of drugs inside.

Jennifer Rubins, 28, and Donnell Pina, 40, are charged with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and illegal importation of drugs.

Troopers say they pulled over the couple in their rental car Friday for a traffic violation.

They say a search of the car turned up heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana and nearly $1,400 in cash.

Troopers are now trying to figure out where the two were headed.

Rubins remains in the Kennebec County Jail.

Pina posted bail.
