A former basketball coach from Isleboro is in jail, accused of sexually abusing two of his female players.

Travis Tatro, 30, was arrested in Camden after being indicted Thursday by the Waldo County grand jury.

He’s charged with sixteen counts of gross sexual assault, unlawful sexual contact and sexual exploitation of a minor.

Prosecutors say all but one of the charges are connected to one of the teenage girls.

The incidents date back to March of 2011.

Tatro pleaded not guilty in court in Belfast Friday. His bail was set at $10, ooo.

Tatro was the coach for the island’s school system for nearly two years before he was let go in August.

Police say he moved to Camden and continues to privately coach basketball in Knox County.
