1 Dead, 2 Hurt In Sanford Traffic Crash 

SANFORD, Maine (AP) — Police say one person is dead and two people had to be flown to a Portland hospital after a crash on Route 202 in Sanford.

Cpl. Matthew Gagne says a man driving a pickup truck died in the crash at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Two occupants of an SUV involved in the crash — a man and a woman — were injured and taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland. Their conditions were not immediately known.

No names were released.

Route 202 was shut down for several hours after the accident, which remains under investigation.
