Hampden Academy Prepares for “Guys and Dolls”

Students at Hampden Academy are looking forward to putting their new performing arts center to use this coming weekend.

Sunday marked the first dress rehearsal for the musical “Guys and Dolls”.

The show is putting to use the new lights, sound, seating, and stage, all of which students say, is going to make for a spectacular show.

Nicholas Nadeau who plays “Big Julie” says,”It’s great for the family. people, especially in the community are really going to like it. Even outside the community, show up. You’ll have a great time. It’s going to be fun.”

Mikayla Burridge who plays “Miss Adelaide” added, “The cast and the crew are all fantastic. We have a beautiful set and lighting and everything. We just really are looking forward to performing for the Greater Bangor Area. It’s going to be a great show.”

This is the first musical the school has had in over twenty years.

The first show is scheduled for November 14th at 7 PM.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students.
