Meth Lab Suspect in Trouble Again

Updated 11 months ago

A person arrested in a recent Ellsworth meth lab bust is in trouble again.

31-year-old Jesse Sawyer of Linneus was arrested today.

Police in Houlton, assisted by border patrol, intercepted a speeding vehicle.

Police say Sawyer failed to stop, and wound up driving across a lawn before slamming into a garage on Military Street.

Sawyer ran into the woods according to police and was arrested after a brief foot chase.

Sawyer and two others were arrested three weeks ago in Ellsworth after police found a mobile meth lab in vehicles parked outside a local hotel.

Police say they found $10,000 worth of tools in Sawyer’s vehicle that were stolen in burglaries in Littleton.

New charges against Sawyer include eluding police, theft, and violating bail conditions.
