Partly Sunny, Breezy & Chilly Friday

From the WABI-TV5 & CW Forecast Center:

The cold front that brought the showers to Maine today will move off to our east this evening. A northwest breeze developing on the backside of the front will begin to usher a much cooler and drier airmass into our region tonight and by daybreak tomorrow the temps will range from the mid 20s north to the low 30s south.

High pressure to our west will combine with the cold front to our east and bring a gusty northwest breeze to Maine both tomorrow and Saturday, which will continue to pull chilly air into New England. High temperatures the next couple of days will range from the mid 30s north to the mid 40s south.

A fast moving weak storm will likely bring some light rain and possibly some snow showers to Maine Sunday, followed by more blustery and chilly weather on Monday. Another cold front sweeps through the Northeast later Monday with a band of snow showers likely accompanying the front’s passage. Behind this new cold front the coldest air of the fall season so far will be ushered into New England on a gusty northwest breeze for Monday night and Tuesday, with parts of northern Maine likely remaining in the upper 20s for highs on Tuesday.

Tonight: Becoming partly cloudy, breezy and turning cooler, with low temps in the mid 20s to low 30s.

Friday: Partly cloudy, breezy and cooler, with high temps in the mid 30s to mid 40s from north to south.

Saturday: Partly to mostly sunny and chilly, with high temps in mid 30s to mid 40s.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy, possible rain showers south and mixed rain and snow showers north, with high temps in the upper 30s to 40s.

Monday: Variably cloudy, breezy and cool, with possible snow showers and flurries and high temps in the mid 30s to low 40s.

Tuesday: Scattered flurries, blustery and chilly, with high temps in the 30s to near 40.
