Event organizers say the Union Street Brick Church in Bangor will be transformed into a speakeasy next Saturday, as “FUSION: Bangor” goes back in time to throw their second annual extravaganza.
They say anybody from the community is invited to attend, in 1920s attire of course, to support their mission and to honor business and community leaders.
“The mission of FUSION: Bangor is to connect the young residents in this area and engage with them in the community, as well as transform our area into the preferred place to live, and we’re really excited that we have the support of many other organizations and businesses to make this event come alive,” Gibran Graham, FUSION: Bangor steering committee member.
“What I love about this community and what FUSION loves is that it’s all about collaboration and organization and we’re really very supportive of each other and we want to recognize that as an organization,” said Matt McLaughlin, another steering committee member.
The event is from 7-10pm Saturday at the Union Street Brick Church at 126 Union St., Bangor.
The night will begin with a cocktail hour followed by a short awards ceremony.
Tickets are $35. Some of the proceeds will fund FUSION’s mission.
Tickets can be purchased by calling Bangor Region’s Chamber of Commerce at 947-0307 or visiting this website: http://fusionextravaganza.eventbrite.com/
A ticket includes a cocktail for those of age at a gin station.
