Police are searching for a man who crashed an SUV into utility pole cables in Hermon  and then drove away. It happened Friday morning at the intersection of Route 2 and Billings Road. Police say the vehicle is a dealer car and surveillance video leads them to believe the driver is a 40-50 year old man.

The vehicle is a blue Chevy Trailblazer with front bumper damage on the driver’s side.

“Report of a utility problem at Route 2 and Billings Road in which a vehicle hit a guide cable for a pole in front of a business and then drove off after removing their dealer license plate off the back of the vehicle,” said Deputy Sheriff, Michael Parady.

If you think you’ve seen the vehicle call the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office at 947-4585.
