A piece of Bangor’s history is going dark, but not for long.
The Bangor Museum and History Center will be closing its doors this winter.
When the Bangor Public Library heard of the closure, they partnered with the museum to bring the items to the library.
The collection will be housed with other historic archives and documents.
Director of the Bangor Public Library Barbara McDade said, “Bangor has a rich and exciting history and we know people are working on books and doing other research and were happy because we can accommodate people.”
The items will be available at the library later this month.
