From the TV 5 Forecast Center:

Clouds will continue to thicken this afternoon as low pressure moves through the Great Lakes region. The area of low pressure will pull a warm front northward towards New England later today which will give us a chance for some afternoon/evening showers. Thanks to southerly winds today, temperatures will be a bit warmer than they have been the past few days with highs climbing into the upper 40s to mid-50s this afternoon. Rain will become steadier and heavier during the night tonight. Temperatures will hold in the upper 40s to mid-50s this evening then slowly climb into the low to mid-50s for most spots after midnight as the warm front lifts northward through the state.

Plan on a wet, windy and very mild day Friday as low pressure pushes a cold front through the state. Rain will be steadiest and heaviest during the morning then taper to showers during the afternoon as the front moves to our east. Drier air coming in behind the front may allow for some breaks in the clouds later in the day. Most locales should see between .5” to 1” of rainfall by the time it all winds down Friday afternoon. Strong southerly winds, possibly gusting to 40-50 MPH ahead of the cold front, will usher a milder airmass into the state with temperatures reaching the 60s for highs on Friday. A second cold front will move through the state on Saturday giving us variably cloudy skies and a slight chance for a shower. Temperatures will be near or a little above average Saturday with highs mainly in the 50s but cooler air will move in behind that second cold front for the second half of the weekend with temperatures expected to only be in the 30s and 40s on Sunday. Strong high pressure will build in and give us a nice quiet stretch of weather for the early-middle part of next week.
