Career Fair Hosted at Belfast High School

Possibilities for the future.

That was the theme of an event held at Belfast High School Thursday.

Students got to sign up to see representatives from different colleges around our state.

They heard from different professionals about a wide range of careers.

“It opens the kids’ eyes, and let’s them see different opportunities, and maybe change their viewpoint towards things,” said Bill Vaughan, Math Teacher, Belfast Area High School.

“The big goal is to try to connect what they’re doing in the classroom now, with some plans for the future,” James Davis, Director of Guidance, Belfast Area High School.

Law enforcement and medical professionals were there to speak to students.

So was Morgan Sturdivant of TV5 News to fill students in on what it’s like to work in our profession.
