Winter Parking Rules in Bangor Begin Friday

Friday, November 1st,  marks the start of winter parking rules in Bangor.

That means drivers are not allowed to park on public streets or parking lots from midnight to 6 a.m., unless they’re in downtown Bangor.

Those drivers can stay on the street, unless there’s a winter parking ban, issued for snow removal.

Between 6 a.m. and midnight, drivers in the rest of the city can park on alternate sides of the street.

On odd numbered days, stay on the side of the street with odd addresses and vice versa for even numbered days.

No vehicles are allowed to park on public streets or parking areas during snow removal times. That applies to downtown Bangor drivers, too, and can be enforced any time of day.

Violators can be ticketed and have their vehicle towed.

The rules run through the end of March.
