If you plan to be in Winslow this weekend watch out for zombies. A zombie themed haunted walk begins Friday night at Fort Halifax Park in Winslow.
Organizers say the haunt is set up more like a movie than a typical haunt. Folks will be given a tour of a zombie holding facility located in the park.
All the proceeds go to the Winslow Family 4th of July events which are free to the public. The haunt is appropriate for kids and scary enough for adults.
“That’s the special thing about it. If a small child should come with a family we do have these special glasses that light up that is a zombie repellent. Zombies won’t come near those people and stay a distance back,” said Kevin Douglass, Chairman of the Winslow Family 4th of July Committee.
The haunt begins Friday night at Fort Halifax Park and runs through the weekend every night from 7:00t-11:00.
Tickets are $5 and go on sale at 6:00.
