October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and in Bangor, people showed their support Thursday by walking.
The 2nd Annual Walk to End Abuse was Thursday afternoon.
It was hosted by the Spruce Run-Womancare Alliance.
“To raise awareness and let abusers know that it’s not acceptable to act this way and to really show support that this community is united around this issue,” said Amanda Cost, program coordinator at the Spruce Run-Womancare Alliance.
“Whatever we can do to prevent domestic violence in this area, I am 100% behind it,” added Marcia Young, a walker.
Walkers wore purple to support the cause.
