More than 100 union workers from throughout Maine are meeting in Bangor.
The 29th Maine AFL-CIO Biennial Convention began Thursday morning.
Members talk about pensions, wages, benefits, and ways they can all work together.
” This is a very eye-opening chance to both see what other unions are doing and to really hear directly about how workers outside of their workplace are being impacted,” said Cynthia Phinney, union member.
Organizers tell TV5 that the goal is to get unions working together to make sure Mainers have jobs that are safe and pay well.
