From the TV 5 Forecast Center:

Low pressure out over the Atlantic will move away from New England today. On the backside of the departing storm, winds will remain gusty with west/southwest winds gusting to 25-30 MPH today. Clouds will continue to increase this afternoon as an upper level disturbance approaches from the north and west. Temperatures will be in the mid-40s to low 50s but feel much cooler with the gusty wind factored in. Skies will be variably cloudy tonight as the upper level disturbance crosses the state.

Another upper level disturbance will cross the state on Friday giving us a mixture of sun and clouds. It’ll be another breezy and cool day with northwest winds gusting to 20-25 MPH and temperatures in the mid-40s to low 50s for highs. High pressure will build into the area to start the weekend Saturday giving us a mostly sunny start to the day. Clouds will be on the increase though as low pressure and its associated cold front approach from the west. As the cold front gets closer, we could see a few showers during the afternoon hours Saturday especially for areas north and west of Bangor. All locations will have a chance for some rain showers or even mixed rain/snow showers Saturday night as the cold front crosses the state. The clouds and showers will linger into Sunday morning then clear out and give way to sunshine by afternoon as the front moves to our east. We’ll get another shot of cooler air coming in early next week with some spots over northern Maine possibly not getting out of the 30s for highs.

Rest of Today: increasing clouds. Breezy and cool. Highs between 44°-53°. West/southwest wind 10-15 MPH with gusts to 25-30 MPH possible.

Friday: mix of sun and clouds. Highs between 43°-52°. Northwest wind 10-15 MPH with gusts to 20 MPH possible.

Saturday: increasing clouds. A few afternoon showers possible especially north and west of Bangor. Highs in the mid-40s to low 50s.
