The cold front has crossed the area and that is leaving us with much cooler temperatures for today. We’ll be about ten degrees cooler than where we were yesterday. We’ll see a somewhat unsettled pattern for the remainder of the week and into the weekend as well. There is currently a low to our southeast which will bring a few showers possible along the coast this evening. Other than that it looks like partly to mostly sunny skies today. By tomorrow, an approaching trough will bring us some clouds with the chance for some mountain flurries. It’ll bring us a mix of sun and clouds for Friday. By Saturday, things try to clear out partially as a high pressure tries to ridge into the area. Then a second approaching low moves in for Saturday afternoon and evening. It looks like some snow showers are possible Saturday night into Sunday, especially in higher elevations and in far northern Maine where temps will stay slightly cooler. The low will keep us cloudy for Sunday.
Today: Highs much cooler in the upper 40s and low 50s with partly to mostly sunny skies. Increasing clouds by afternoon with a few showers possible along the coast tonight. Overnight lows cool into the upper 20s and low 30s.
Thursday: Highs in the upper 40s and low 50s with partly sunny skies. A few mountain flurries are possible. Overnight lows drop into the upper 20s and low 30s again.
Friday: Highs in the mid to upper 40s and low 50s with partly sunny skies. Overnight lows in the mid to upper 20s and low 30s with partly cloudy skies.
Saturday: Highs in the mid to upper 40s and low 50s with partly sunny skies. Increasing clouds in the afternoon with rain/snow showers expected overnight. Overnight lows drop into the 30s.
