Spooky Science For Kids This Weekend in Bangor

Science is going to be spooky this weekend in Bangor.

The Challenger Learning Center of Maine is holding its annual “Boo! Science” event.

A mad scientist will blow kids’ minds with his laboratory demos.

Then, they will slink over to creepy and gooey hands-on stations to learn more about chemistry, anatomy, and physics.

Organizers say it’s a great event for the entire family, especially for kids 3 to 12 years old.

“So it’s a really neat way to fulfill our mission of getting people excited about science, at the same time, letting them see what the center is like and raising a little bit of money to help support our mission,” said Jennifer Therrien, Education Director and Center Coordinator at the Challenger Learning Center.

“Boo! Science” is from 6 to 7-30pm this Friday and Saturday nights.

Reserved tickets are $8 for children ages 3 and older.

It’s $10 without a reservation, but seating is limited.

You’re encouraged to wear a costume and there will be prizes.
