The reward for information about a bald eagle that was shot and killed in Hermon last week has been increased to $2,000.

Wardens say they have received many tips and are in the process of following up on leads.

The reward was doubled thanks to a donation of $1,000 dollars from the Penobscot Nation.

The eagle that was killed was a young eagle, wardens say it was less than two years old.

If you know anything about the eagle call the wardens at 1-800-ALERT-US.
