A man who threatened to kill his roommates in Winthrop with a machete is going to jail for 8 months.
20-year-old Nicholas Rolling was also sentenced last week to two years probation.
He pleaded guilty in August to criminal threatening and assault.
In January police got a 911 call from two people inside a house on Tappen Farm Road, saying they were being held hostage by Rolling.
Rolling believed the men had stolen his money.
He swung a machete at one and punched the other in the face.
