A woman is recovering after a motorcycle accident in Thomaston Saturday morning.
Rockland Police said Melissa Robbins, 40, from Spruce Head was driving a friend’s Honda on High Street around 11:30am.
Witness’s said she stopped at the intersection of High Street and New County Road, started to turn left onto Route 1 when she lost control of the motorcycle, accelerating into the guardrail.
Police said Robbins was thrown off the bike about thirty feet down an embankment.
She was taken by Lifeflight helicopter to a Bangor airport.
Robbins has compound fracture to her right leg.
