Woman Admits to Kingfield Pharmacy Robbery

A woman from Madrid Township could go to prison for up to 20 years after admitting to robbing a pharmacy in Kingfield.

27-year-old Michelle Wilcox pleaded guilty in federal court in Bangor Thursday.

In June, she walked into the Western Maine Pharmacy and handed a clerk a note saying she had a weapon and wanted suboxone, which is used to treat opiate addiction.

Court documents say Wilcox called the pharmacy an hour before the robbery to see if they had any of the drugs.

A sentencing date has not been set yet.

Besides prison time, Wilcox faces a $250,000 fine.
