From the TV 5 Forecast Center:

We have some unsettled weather to contend with in our forecast for the next couple of days. We’ll start out dry this morning with variably cloudy skies. Clouds are expected to prevail today but some breaks of sun cannot be ruled out. A weak disturbance over the Atlantic will move northward towards Nova Scotia and will bring some showers into the state this afternoon. Although everyone will have the chance for showers, the highest chances will be over Downeast locations. With more clouds in place today, temperatures will be a bit cooler than yesterday with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. A cold front approaching from the north and west will keep our shower chances going during the night tonight especially for northern and western parts of the state. Low temperatures will be right around 50° for the nighttime hours.

Low pressure moving to our north will push a cold front through the state Thursday morning giving us a good chance for some scattered showers to start the day. As the front moves to our east, drier air will move in behind it and allow us to dry out and brighten up during the afternoon hours. Temperatures will be milder Thursday with highs in the 60s to near 70°. Another area of low pressure will approach from the south and west, passing through the Gulf of Maine on Friday. This storm will likely bring us a round of rain later Thursday night and early Friday. The storm is expected to move to our east later Friday morning allowing things to dry out and brighten up Friday afternoon. A ridge of high pressure will build in to bring us sunshine for the start of the weekend. It looks like cooler weather start to filter into the region Sunday and into early next week.

Rest of Today: partly to mostly cloudy. Scattered showers possible especially Downeast. Highs between 58°-64°. Southeast wind 5-10 MPH.

Tonight: mostly cloudy with a few showers possible especially over northern and western parts of the state. Lows around 50°. Light and variable wind.

Thursday: mostly cloudy with a few scattered showers to start then brightening skies during the afternoon. Milder with highs between 61°-69°. Southwest wind 5-10 MPH.

Friday: morning rain then brightening skies during the afternoon. Highs between 55°-63°.

Saturday: partly to mostly sunny with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Sunday: partly to mostly cloudy with a few afternoon showers possible. Cooler with highs in the 50s to around 60°.
