From the WABI-TV5 & CW Forecast Center:
A weakening cold front will slip east through New England tonight. The front will bring just a few very light showers to mainly northern parts of Maine this evening, with skies becoming partly cloudy late tonight as the front drifts offshore. Low temps tonight will hold in the 40s statewide.
High pressure currently centered over the Eastern Great Lakes Region will move east and control the weather across our region Tuesday. The high will bring partly to mostly sunny skies to Maine tomorrow and temps will run a few degrees above normal. As the high over New England tomorrow moves east a trough of low pressure will begin to approach our region Wednesday. The upper level trough will keep skies partly to mostly cloudy Wednesday and a few showers could develop here later in the day. A storm and cold front will slip into through the Northeast Thursday and that will lead to a much better shot of showers all across the Pine Tree State. Another cold front will slip through New England this weekend and much cooler air will begin to build into our region for Sunday and much of next week.
Tonight: Isolated showers possible then partly cloudy skies late with low temps in the 40s.
Tuesday: Mostly to partly cloudy, with high temps in the low to mid 60s.
Wednesday: Partly to mostly cloudy, few widely scattered showers possible and high temps in the upper 50s to mid 60s.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with periods of showers likely and high temps in the upper 50s to mid 60s.
Friday: Variably cloudy, few scattered showers possible and high temps in the upper 50s to mid 60s.
