Prospective students took over the Eastern Maine Community College campus Friday.
More than 800 people interested in college attended EMCC’s annual open house.
The school currently offers 26 technical programs and many of those fill up quickly.
This year, the school is offering more night classes to accommodate people who are working full time.
President of EMCC, Lawrence Barrett, said “We’ve expanded automotive technology, medical assisting and early childhood education to the evenings so now we have about five new evening programs for that’s really handling the non-traditional students and traditional students that are maybe working during the day.”
Administrators expect enrollment numbers to increase this year, especially with the addition of new class times.
