Partly Sunny & Mild Friday

From the WABI-TV5 & CW Forecast Center:

High pressure centered over Northern New England will bring generally fair skies to our region tonight and Friday. The high will once again keep the storm currently located off the North Carolina Coastline stalled to our south the next several days. The airmass over Maine will continue to warm tomorrow and that will allow the temps here to run well above normal as highs reach the mid 60s to low 70s throughout most of our region.

A weak backdoor cold front will slip south through New England Friday night and Saturday. The front will produce a bit more cloud cover here as it works south through our region later tomorrow night and a portion of Saturday. A northeast wind behind the front will bring somewhat cooler air into our region for the beginning of the weekend as highs on Saturday hold in the upper 50s to mid 60s.

High pressure to our north will produce generally fair skies across Maine Sunday and Monday along will slowly warming temperatures. A cold front approaching New England from the west Tuesday will weaken as it moves through our area and just a few widely scattered showers will likely fall with the passage of the front. A stronger front will bring a better shot of showers to our region later Wednesday or Thursday.
