Clearing Tomorrow With Lots Of Sun To Follow

A lot going on in the weather world tonight, but once we get through tomorrow, we’ll be very bored again. There is a WIND ADVISORY for almost all of our viewing area from 4pm tonight (Monday) through 2am tomorrow (Tuesday). Winds could gusts higher than 40 miles per hour so be sure to secure anything that can be blow around outdoors. There is also a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Somerset, Franklin, and Oxford counties until 10pm.

Overnight we’ll see another band of steady, heavy rain move though the area ahead of the cold front. This is the same storm system that has recently caused tornadoes in Nebraska and Iowa. While we won’t be seeing those, we will see some heavy rain and gusty winds overnight. The front should exit the area in the very early morning hours of tomorrow morning. Once it moves through, we could see a couple lingering showers, but, for the most part, things will clear quickly. We have a high pressure system that’s currently in the Midwest. It’ll move into our area and stick around for Tuesday night, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and what looks like most of Saturday. We’ll see lots of sunshine though the middle and end of the week with the occasional fair weather cloud.

Highs will again warm to about five degrees above normal every day. Normal highs are in the upper 50s and low 60s and its looking like most of us will be seeing 60s for much of the week. Overnight lows will be chilly with clear skies and calm winds. We’ll cool into the upper 30s and low 40s.

Tuesday: We’ll see a couple showers very early (pre dawn hours) then see skies clearing quickly. By noon it looks like we’ll have partly to mostly sunny skies, Highs make it into the upper 50s and low 60s. Overnight there will be mostly clear skies with lows in the 30s.

Wednesday: Highs will be in the upper 50s and low 60s with sunshine throughout the day. Overnight lows drop into the upper 30s and low 40s with clear skies.

Thursday: highs in the mid to upper 60s with sunny skies. Overnight lows in the low to mid 40s.
