From the TV 5 Forecast Center:
A cold front is forecast to cross the state this afternoon. The airmass ahead of the front will be very mild with highs topping off mainly in the 70s to near 80° for most locales this afternoon under mostly sunny skies. The front doesn’t have much moisture with it so only expecting a few clouds with the frontal passage mainly over northern areas. West/southwest winds will be gusty today with gusts to 25 MPH possible. Skies will be clear tonight with lows dropping to the mid-40s to low 50s.
Cooler air will move in behind the front on Thursday with temperatures closer to but still above average with highs in the mid-60s to low 70s. High temperatures this time of year should average in the upper 50s to low 60s. High pressure building into the area Thursday will provide us with sunny skies. More clouds will return to our forecast for Friday as a warm front approaches from the south. It’ll still be a decent day though with a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the mid-60s to near 70°. We’ll continue to see clouds around the area Saturday as the warm front stalls to our south. It’ll be a dry day but will feature a varying amount of clouds and sunshine throughout the day. Low pressure moving north of the Great Lakes will pull the warm front northward across Maine on Sunday giving us a chance for a couple of showers in spots. Temperatures over the weekend will top off in the 60s for highs.
Rest of Today: partly to mostly sunny, breezy and very mild. Highs between 72°-79°. Southwest wind 5-15 MPH with gusts to 25 MPH possible turning to the west this afternoon.
Tonight: clear skies. Lows between 45°-52°. West/northwest wind 5-10 MPH.
Thursday: mostly sunny, breezy and a bit cooler. Highs between 65°-72°. West/northwest wind 10-15 MPH with gusts to 25 MPH possible.
Friday: mix of sun and clouds. Highs between 64°-71°.
Saturday: variably cloudy. Highs in the low to mid-60s.
Sunday: mostly cloudy during the morning then becoming partly sunny during the afternoon. A shower possible. Highs in the 60s.
