From the TV 5 Forecast Center:

The ocean storm we’ve been watching for the past few days continues to slowly move away from New England. Lingering clouds and a few widely scattered showers over Washington county will move out to sea early this afternoon followed by brightening skies as the afternoon progresses. Temperatures will be a couple degrees warmer today with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s this afternoon. Skies will be clear to partly cloudy tonight with lows dropping back to the 50s.

A cold front is forecast to cross the state Wednesday afternoon. The airmass ahead of the front will be very mild with highs topping off in the 70s to near 80° Wednesday afternoon under partly to mostly sunny skies. The front doesn’t have much moisture with it so only expecting a few clouds with the frontal passage mainly over northern areas. Cooler air will move in behind the front on Thursday with temperatures closer to but still above average with highs in the mid-60s to low 70s. High temperatures this time of year should average in the low to mid-60s. High pressure building into the area Thursday will provide us with sunny skies. More clouds will return to our forecast for Friday as a warm front approaches from the south. It’ll still be a decent day though with a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the 60s to near 70°. Another area of high pressure will build into the area Saturday giving us partly sunny skies for the start of the weekend. If everything stays on track, dry conditions are expected to last through Sunday before showers move into the forecast Monday.

Rest of Today: partly to mostly sunny, most clouds Downeast. Slight chance of a shower over Downeast areas. Highs between 68°-75°. North/northwest wind 5-10 MPH.

Tonight: clear to partly cloudy. Lows between 50°-55°. Light and variable wind.

Wednesday: partly to mostly sunny. Mild with highs between 71°-79°. Southwest wind 8-15 MPH.

Thursday: mostly sunny and cooler with highs in the mid-60s to low 70s.

Friday: partly sunny with highs in the 60s to near 70°.

Saturday: partly sunny. Highs in the 60s.
