Massachusetts Man Arrested For Skowhegan Burglary Spree

A Massachusetts man was arrested Saturday after police say he committed a string of burglaries in Skowhegan and then fought with the arresting officer.

Skowhegan Police Chief Ted Blais said 28-year-old Ramafola Khoto of Dracut Massachusetts was arrested at Laney’s Pit Stop on the Waterville Road in Skowhegan Saturday.

Blais said Khoto was caught shoplifting at the store and is also a suspect in several other thefts in the area.

During his arrest, Blais said Khoto fought with a Skowhegan Police officer who was taken to a hospital and received several stitches for a deep cut over an eye.

Khoto, who was staying at the Skowhegan Homeless Shelter, is charged with burglary and refusing to submit to arrest.
