Exeter Man Killed in Corinth Crash

An Exeter man died Sunday morning after being struck by a pickup truck in Corinth.

Chief Deputy Troy Morton with the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office says Joseph Sweet, 27,  was riding a three wheel bicycle on Route 43 when he was struck.

Morton says prior to the crash,  the driver of the pickup truck “looked down and took his eyes off the roadway” .

According to Morton, speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the the crash. The district attorney will decide if there will be any charges.
