Beautiful Sunday Ahead, Weather Remains Quiet Next Week

From the TV 5 Forecast Center:

High pressure will slide to our east during the day today. Today will feature lots of sunshine and very pleasant temperatures with highs a couple degrees either side of 70°. Light winds during the morning will turn onshore during the day which will keep the coolest temps along and near the coast.

We’ve been talking the past few days about an ocean storm possibly affecting our forecast for the early part of next week. It still looks like the storm is going to track far enough out to sea that the bulk of the storm will remain offshore. However, it will be close enough to graze us with some clouds and possibly some showers Downeast later Monday and into Tuesday. The rest of the state will remain dry with an average of partly cloudy skies both days. Temperatures will remain near or a bit above average for Monday and Tuesday with highs in the mid-60s to around 70°. High pressure returns to our area Wednesday and Thursday giving us sunny skies and temperatures a couple degrees either side of 70°.

Today: abundant sunshine. Highs between 65°-75°, coolest along the coast. Light winds will become south 5-10 MPH.

Monday: mostly sunny during the morning then increasing clouds during the afternoon. Scattered showers possible later in the day Downeast. Highs between 65°-70°. Variable wind 5-10 MPH.

Tuesday: a few showers possible Downeast otherwise partly to mostly cloudy. Most of the clouds will be Downeast. Highs in the mid-60s to low 70s.

Wednesday: sunny and pleasant. Highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Thursday: mostly sunny with highs in the mid-60s to around 70°.
