Funeral services will be held this weekend for the victims killed in Monday’s shooting in Oakfield.
Police say Heidi Pratt and Michael Kitchen were shot to death during the early morning hours, before their home was burned to the ground.
Calling hours for their funeral will be held between 10 am and noon Saturday at the Bethel Pentecostal Church.
They’ll be buried at the nearby Oakfield Cemetery.
On Friday, Mac Davis, the father of Matthew Davis, the man charged their murder, posted an open letter to the Oakfield and Island Falls communities on Facebook.
He said, “No words can express the pain and sorrow I feel for the Kitchen and Pratt families. I know that I speak for my entire family in extending our deepest and sincerest sympathies to them.”
He continued, “We all appreciate the love, thoughts and prayers that have been extended to the victims’ families, as well as ours. Please continue to do so, as we all have a long road ahead.”
