A performance about some of the pioneers in aviation will take to the stage in Bangor Friday tonight – and take off from it.
The play “Flight” explores the history of the first female aviators.
It’ll be performed at The Gracie Theatre at Husson University.
The show involves an actual aircraft being put together on stage.
Jeri Misler, Gracie Theatre Managing Director, says, “There’s a lot of things that fly in the show. The plane is one of them, the actors are another and there’s chairs and trapeze bars. It’s a beautiful story about the first women in flight and it honors their memory>
The touring company putting on the show has spent the last week at The Gracie getting all of the equipment in place, with the help of Husson students.
The show starts at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children and students.
