The little tykes over at Parkside Learning Center in Bangor had some fun with their trikes Friday.
Parkside took part in the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s annual Trike-A-Thon.
Kids and their parents raise money for the hospital leading up to the event.
About 60 kids lined up outside to take a few laps around the playground. It was also a chance for the Pre-Schoolers to learn about trike and bike safety.
“We do this not only to benefit the hospital but to teach our children here at Parkside that there are children less fortunate than themselves and that they can do something to help others even at their young age,” says Parkside Owner and Director, Jen Montgomery-Rice.
St. Jude’s says each day in the US about 30 children are diagnosed with cancer.
